Justice and Community Engagement

The Justice and Community Engagement Ministry centers the work of equity and justice through community programs, advocacy groups, and educational events. Lake B’s desire for human flourishing moves far beyond our campus and embraces communities throughout the Highline area. We believe that mutual partnerships with diverse people require thoughtful participation at the local level through conversation, education, and action.

Unhoused Alliance

The Unhoused Alliance consists of dedicated individuals who work toward helping those experiencing homelessness in our community. Following four essential tenets that lead to transformational change, we seek to not only meet immediate needs but to also foster relationships, educate the community, and engage with systems and policies to effect long-term change. This group is open to anyone interested in participating in outreach efforts, activism, training opportunities, and other avenues the group engages in to share the love of Christ with our unhoused neighbors.

A few ways to get involved include:

  • Attending monthly planning meetings

  • Donating and/or volunteering with an outreach partner

  • Joining or coordinating prayer groups for our unhoused neighbors
