At Lake B, we have been exploring stewardship as a congregation and understand that we must practice how to be more faithful stewards of more than just our monetary resources. We must challenge each other to also focus on how we are stewarding our time, our talents and our treasures. We hope to continue having meaningful dialogue about stewardship by being consistent and creative in talking about what this looks like in each of our lives. The responsibility of stewardship lies among our whole faith community, so we encourage everyone to tell their stories because we all come from different backgrounds and we believe there is power in sharing our story. This journey requires us to both teach each other and learn from one another. We as the Church will continue to explore what it means to live the gospel fully alive as it relates to stewardship not only in our own individual lives but also as a church body.
Due to the tragedies in our Country and the World, and our congregation’s commitment to becoming an anti-racist church, we wanted to share some resources that will allow us to be more intentional about how we are spending our time, talent and treasure during this time specifically. We hope that this information can help you to be proactive in standing against racism with Lake B and our broader community!
