Larkita Demps
Larkita is a mental health professional who has worked within several agencies dedicated to improving the wellness and lives of children, young adults, and families. She graduated from Seattle University, where she earned her masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She also holds a Bachelors of Social Work degree which she obtained from Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC.
Larkita has been a featured guest columnist and guest speaker at several local & national organizations where she discussed mental health in the Black community. Her work also includes highlighting the importance of breaking the stigma around mental health care. Larkita is passionate about developing her gifts to serve in the mental health field.
Larkita is married to her husband of 12 years, together they have three beautiful children. Larkita loves spending time with her family, serving in her community, and she also loves quiet moments where she’s able to read and journal. Larkita values mentorship relationships and enjoys spending time mentoring young ladies. In addition to being a mentor, she recognizes that one never stops learning, and values her role as a mentee as well.
Larkita’s goal is to provide a safe counseling space for individuals to filter through their personal journey, while equipping you with support and resources, to guide them on the path to overall wellness.
